Grand Valley Nordic Ski Club

About Us

The Grand Valley Nordic Ski Club (GVNSC) was founded in the spring of 2017.

The mission of the GVNSC is to provide opportunities that encourage and support the youth of Mesa County in developing a life-long passion and dedication to Nordic skiing. GVNSC is also a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The GVNSC offers recreational and competitive Nordic skiing program which will enable skiers to progress from the learn-to-ski programs into competitive skiing at the local, State, and national levels in accordance with their respective abilities and desires.  Our goal is for our programs to be accessible and inclusive for all children that would like to participate in them. We are developing a scholarship program to ensure that we meet this goal and in the interim will work with families to ensure that everyone can participate.  GVNSC is partnering with Odin Recreation, which is the organization that will groom the trails at Odin Sports Complex at Powderhorn.  The ski club training activities will primarily occur on the new trails being developed by Odin Recreation below Powderhorn Resort (https://goo.gl/maps/YV1dD1PDoqn).

GVNSC members will have the opportunity to participate in the Rocky Mountain Division of the United States Ski and Snowboard Association races. (https://goo.gl/maps/YV1dD1PDoqn)
