The Frozen Ranger Ski Program introduces 4 and 5 year old children to skiing. It is a 50 minute program developed to foster a love for winter sports, and enhance balance and motor skills on snow through games, songs, stories, and activities both on and off skis. This group meets on Saturdays for four consecutive weeks on from 10:00-10:50 (session 1) or from 11:00 to 11:50 (second session), beginning on January 19th and ending on February 9th. The registration fee is $75 ($115 with ski rental for sessions). Season ski rentals is an additional $50. Skier to coaching ratio will be approximately 4:1.
The Snow Monster Ski Program is for children from 5 to 7 years old and will be held on Saturdays from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm starting on January 19th and ending on February 9th, 2019. The registration fee is $125 for the program ( $165 with ski rentals for the program). Season ski rental is an additional $50. Skier to coaching ratio will be approximately 6:1.
The February Nordic Ski Festival offers a variety of different cross country skiing activities including: obstacle course, terrain park, games, and races for skiers of all different levels (including new skiers). The February Nordic Ski Festival will be held at Odin Sports Complex at Powderhorn on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The registration fee for the festival is $25 (includes ski rental).
SESSION 1 (Fall)
Session 1 will begin on November 2nd and end on December 1st. Participants can choose to participate in the sessions on Friday, Saturday, or on both days. Session 1 will primarily be dryland training that will take place near Grand Junction. A training schedule with locations will be sent to participants after they register. Session 1 will include training in technique, endurance, agility, strength, ski preparation education, and possibly some on snow. Practice will be held on Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 to 11:00 on both days. Register for this program here. Program costs are listed below:

Session 2 will include technique, on snow specific strength, agility training, speed work, equipment preparation and care education, winter outdoor safety education, and races. - First ten athletes to register by December 1st receive a $150 (one session per week) or $250 (two sessions per week) scholarship
*A limited number of exceptions may be made for athletes that are over 13 years old.
This program is for skiers between 13 and 16 years old who like to ski off the beaten path. The Teen Ski group will learn new skills in the first hour, break for an hour for lunch (teens need to bring their own lunch) in the second hour, and will go on a ski tour the third hour. The focus will be learning basic ski techniques and building a social recreational network of friends. The Teen Ski Program will be held from 10:00 and 1:00 from January 19th through February 9th. The registration fee is $150 for the program ($190 with ski rentals for the sessions). Season equipment rental is an additional $50. Skier to coaching ratio will be approximately 10:1.
