About Us

Mission

The mission of the GVNSC is to provide opportunities that encourage and support the youth of Mesa County in developing a life-long passion and dedication to Nordic skiing. GVNSC is also a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

What We Offer

The GVNSC offers recreational and competitive Nordic skiing program which will enable skiers to progress from the learn-to-ski programs into competitive skiing at the local, State, and national levels in accordance with their respective abilities and desires.  Our goal is for our programs to be accessible and inclusive for all children that would like to participate in them. We are developing a scholarship program to ensure that we meet this goal and in the interim will work with families to ensure that everyone can participate.  The ski club training activities will primarily occur on the new trails developed by Odin Sports Complex at Powderhorn, which is located below Powderhorn Resort. GVNSC members will have the opportunity to participate in the Rocky Mountain Division of the United States Ski and Snowboard Association races.

The GVNSC is focused on the development of young skiers, but also working towards providing training and racing opportunities for senior and master level skiers.
